What kinds of content can I upload?
You can upload any kind of image, audio, video, game or application file. You must own the copyright or the right to license any of the material you upload on the site.

You will not upload any content or behave on the site in anyway which:

- is a nuisance to any person or infringes the intellectual property rights of any person

- is defamatory; obscene; pornographic or violent; perpetuates hatred against any person or group or would be regarded as offensive by a reasonable person

- is illegal in your country of operation; exposes voeveo to legal proceedings.

What currency should I price my content in?

That's really up to you. Buyers on our site can choose to view content in their preferred currency, so we just convert it.

What should I price my content at?

This is up to you. Check out other mobile content sites to see what the current market rate is.

Do you have a minimum price on the site?

Yes. You can't price any content for under 49 pence or the equivalent in your chosen currency.

What are Tags?

Tags help a buyer to find your content. Around 5 tags seems to be a good number of tags, but choose them wisely: Try to add general tags that are shared by all or most of your content items (for example: sport, landscape, dog), as well as tags that are more specific to each piece of content (for example: rugby, New Zealand, Terrier). And try to avoid redundant tags, like 'cat' and 'cats'.

If I have the same piece of content in different formats (ie. a video in MPEG3 and MP4), can I add a second version to my original listing?

Yes. You can add different versions for each piece of content. The first file you upload becomes your main version. To add another version click the "Add Version" link and fill out the fields. From a buyer's perspective they only see the versions that match their phone.

What do I do if I see a file has been "rejected" on my Manage Content screen?

There are three reasons why your content could've been rejected.

1) Your file is too big.

2) Your file wasn't in a format our site can use or it didn't match the category you selected. (Example: you tried to upload an audio file under the wallpaper category)

3) There was a problem with our site and the file didn't get uploaded properly. (Sorry!)

To see why your content isn't active click the "rejected" link. You'll need to delete the content item that was rejected and upload the file again.

I've uploaded the wrong thumbnail. Can I update it?

Yes, you can for audio, video, game and application files. Just go to your Manage Content screen, click the Edit button and from the Files tab upload new thumbnails and screenshots.

You can't update your thumbnail for images. If you've uploaded the wrong image just delete it and upload the correct one.

Do I have to upload multiple versions?

No, you don't have to, but we recommend you do! By uploading multiple versions of a file you'll be able to match a wider range of phones which leads to more buying opportunities.

What is the difference between wallpapers and screensavers?

On voeveo, we use "Wallpapers" to refer to static background images for your phone, and "Screensavers" as animated images that can be set as either your background image, or as an animation that appears when your phone is left idle. Just think of what you would refer to as a wallpaper or a screensaver on your computer. Most phones will also let you set screensavers as your background image, and vice versa.

I don't have software that lets me convert files. What do I do?

Try the beta site Zamzar. You just upload your files and they do the conversion for you. Give it a go - we love to support beta sites.
