We will shortly be introducing the voeveo Seller Widget, a small application that you can add to your site, blog or myspace that allows your customers to buy directly from your website. Initially it will be for one piece of content per widget, but we really want to hear your ideas on how to improve and increase the scope of this extremely useful tool.
This is the place to register your thought and ideas.

Great idea, I'll definitely be adding the widget to our site and blog.
Have you looked at Zazzle's Flash Panel, its a nice set-up with specified content slowly streaming past. Once you click on it you will go directly to the page selling that particular content. One idea would be to enable us to control which content is shown, like by member or keyword or content type. Check out the link for some samples http://www.zazzle.com/my/account/zp/examples
Cheers

Those widgets look great - we were thinking along very similar lines to those for a multi-content widget. So it could be flash-based, like the Zazzle ones, and perhaps clicking on a particular item could bring up the smaller one-content-item-widget.
I think the easiest way for the seller to select which items will appear in the widget would be by tags, as content types - images, screensaver, audio etc - are treated as tags as well. Would that be suitable for your content?
Thanks for that Onno, I've bookmarked that page for future reference. I'll let you know here when we've got a working version of the initial widget available (shouldn't be long now).

That sounds good, Mike.
One other thing if possible maybe you can include different size widgets, like square, landscape and portrait. One problem with the Zazzle widget it is only one size and it may not fit in everybody's layout or style of their blogs or websites.
Looking forward to see it

Yup, that makes sense. I'll see what we can come up with. At the moment the initial widget is going to work like our current buttons: the code you put on your site will be minimal, but when you click on it rather than taking you to voeveo, the seller widget will pop up and you will remain on your site. So we could definitely look into creating some different sized buttons to trigger the popup.

Great stuff, celebecards, we'll be sure to keep you posted as well. It shouldn't be too far away now. The mobile version of the site is not too far away from completion as well, which should be another useful tool.

you do. :)
I'm pretty excited to roll it out. initial payment methods will likely be paypal mobile (quite slick), existing prepay approach and for UK customers - direct carrier billing.
Also all the community interaction functionality as well. For example when it is live you could be reading and posting these types of discussions straight from your phone.
We'll have an initial beta period to get some more feedback from our community, so if you're interested in participating let us know and well let you know when it is up for testing.
