This song is called "avin a larf" written by myself a while ago. Back in 2004 I was doing the breakfast show for a local radio station. At the time I was also just starting out in writing tunes and I had this tune called "avin a larf" which I had written completely tongue in cheek a few months earlier at the tail end of 2003.Anyway, I brought the tune into the radio station on mini disc and played it to the other presenters. They loved it so much they insisted on the station manager hearing it. Steve took one listen and immediately summoned a meeting with Ray Santilli at a restaurant in Baker Street. Ray had a strong track record in the music industry where he produced and promoted acts such as Ian Drury, Boy George, Hot Chocolate, Howard Jones, Bill Wyman, Slade, Eurhythmics and Musical youth to name but a few.Ray was so confident in our tune that he insisted on distributing it to all the hot spots across Europe as well as all the radio stations in the UK.Unfortunately in the coming weeks after our meeting Ray had a personal event to attend to and had to fly back to Italy at short notice.Things went really quiet and upon his return we were given 24hours notice to put together a more polished version for radio. Due to the state of urgency the pressing plant made an error and left in the sharp lingo on the radio edit version. In hindsight we felt that the original was a whole lot better than the rushed UK/European release. We approached Ray about the idea of a video last year but his hands were tied with promoting his film "Alien Autopsy" starring Ant and Dec.Since those days I hooked up with few friends and started the "Cockney Avengers"
